International Office (In Indonesian Kantor Urusan Internasional / KUI) of Universitas PGRI Madiun welcomes students from all over the world. International Office is the university division dedicated to support the internationalization. Our goal is to assist the international students and scholars handle their academic-related matters at Universitas PGRI Madiun and to bridge Universitas PGRI Madiun’s civitas academica with overseas universities.
Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) has been recognized as the best university in Madiun, East Java, Indonesia. UNIPMA builds partnerships with international university in Asia and Europe. In addition, the Office aims at ensuring that every international student has the most positive experience at Universitas PGRI Madiun. The Purposes of Foreign Cooperation Program of UNIVERSITAS PGRI Madiun
Specifically, Foreign cooperation program aims to prepare students of Universitas PGRI Madiun become a global community that supports world peace through multicultural internalization and strengthening nationalism.
In general, the Purposes of Foreign Cooperation Program of UNIVERSITAS PGRI Madiun are:
Improving the quality of Universitas PGRI Madiun graduates in building knowledge-based communities that can enter the international job market with multi-lingual skills, communication skills, negotiation, cultural understanding and rules between countries;
Increasing political, legal, economic and social culture development based on knowledge;
Improving the ability of the Indonesian nation and State to address the challenges of human development and the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Principles of Foreign Cooperation Program of UNIVERSITAS PGRI Madiun
The implementation of the Foreign Cooperation Program of Universitas PGRI Madiun is conducted based on 5 (five) principles. They are as follow:
Priority of the interests of national development and contribution of improving the nation's competitiveness.
Equality and mutual respect, It means Universitas PGRI Madiun can establish cooperation with other universities or institutions abroad with the aim of improving the performance of higher education programs. Therefore, the braided cooperation can only be implemented if the foreign university has been registered and accredited by the accreditation institution that is recognized by the country.
The added value in terms of improving the quality of education, It means that cooperation should be built in an innovative, creative, synergic, and complementary way in order to increase the quality of Universitas PGRI Madiun
Sustainability, It means that cooperation should provide equal benefits for Universitas PGRI Madiun and the parties that cooperate and be implemented in a sustainable manner. Cooperation should also benefit stakeholders and contribute to building national, and or international peace. In addition, cooperation should also be extended to other parties.
Diversity, It means that cooperation should consider the diversity of cultures that can be cross-regional, national, and or international.
The Implementation of Foreign Cooperation Program of UNIVERSITAS PGRI Madiun Procedures
Procedures and mechanisms of cooperation shall be regulated based on stages of cooperation which includes pioneering, approval, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and sustainability of cooperation programs.
Pioneering Stages
The initial activity of a partnership is to pilot prospective partners based on the main tasks and functions of Universitas PGRI Madiun. Pioneering can be done by students or lecturers, units, departments, faculties or University or it can be done by searching list of potential partners by considering the strategy of Universitas PGRI Madiun and partner criteria.
The pioneering procedures should be known and permitted by the head of the unit, the head of the departments, and the dean of the faculty, which is subsequently reported to the Rector. Cooperation plan that is considered feasible to be implemented, then discussed between relevant officials / authorities and followed up by the technical implementing parties.
Approval Stages
The aprroval stage is a series of activities beginning with the preparation of the manuscript up to the signing of the MoU and / or cooperation agreement. The following are the technical execution of the drafting phase of the MoU and / or MoA:
The substance of the contents of the MoU and / or MoA shall be discussed in advance by the unit, departments, faculties or university and partners. The points of agreement are subsequently made in the draft of the Mou and or the cooperation agreement.
The draft MoU and / or MoA is sent to the Bureau of Cooperation and Public Relations (BKH), and further consulted to the Monitoring and Evaluation Unit
Input of correction result from Monitoring and Evaluation Unit, by BKH is sent back to rector.
MoU and / or MoA, made in duplicate, each equipped with stamp duty to be signed by the Rector and the partner on the day of signing.
Technical implementation of the signing is regulated by the General Administration Bureau (BAU)
Implementation Stages
Implementation of cooperation is a series of activities undertaken after the signing of the MoU and / or cooperation agreement. For the implementation of cooperation should be appointed by the executing team.
The task of the executing team:
Discuss, formulate and prepare operational guidelines (guidelines) and / or technical guidelines (technical guidelines) with partners.
Carry out activities in accordance with the cooperation agreement.
Make regular reports of cooperation activities to university leaders.
Monitoring and Evaluation of Cooperation Implementation Stages
Monitoring and evaluation activities are carried out by Monitoring and Evaluation unit of Universitas PGRI Madiun and partners. Monitoring is done to ensure that the stages of work can be done properly and achieve the expected goals
The results of monitoring can be used as material to evaluate whether a joint activity can be continued, improved or other matters. The evaluation of the results of the joint activities shall be carried out by the Monitoring and Evaluation unit consisting of the University of PGRI Madiun, partners, and / or external parties / other parties having the authority to conduct mutually agreed evaluations. Monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of cooperation refers to the MoU or MoA that have been made together.
Reporting Stages
Students and lecturers, units, departmentss, or faculty involved in cooperative agreements should make regular financial cooperation and accountability reports to the Rector through BKH. BKH then carries the report file to be consulted with the quality assurance unit and monevin.
Sustainability Stages
If based on the monitoring and evaluation, the results of the cooperation activities are necessary to be feasible to proceed, discussion can be made about the possibility of developing, refining and / or creating new cooperation activities aimed at supporting sustainability of such cooperation activities to achieve common goals.
Consideration for a program development, based on:
Identification of new things that arise during the cooperation activities take place.
Analysis of possible development of cooperation for future periods.
In the event that cooperation is considered unnecessary / feasible to be continued or there are irregularities that can not be corrected, it can be terminated cooperation. Termination of this cooperation is done after the two parties negotiate and can not find an agreement.
